Projects and Opportunities

The VR Lab welcomes students, researchers and collaborators who want to explore virtual, augmented and mixed reality through experimental research, technical development, creative practice and public engagement.

PhD positions

If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in the lab, contact Dr Max Di Luca or use the Get in touch section. It helps to include a short description of your interests, relevant experience and the kind of XR research question you would like to explore.

BSc and MSc student projects

We support Bachelor’s and Master’s projects in Psychology, Computer Science and related areas. Projects can involve perception experiments, motion capture, haptics, accessibility, immersive interaction, AI-supported XR tools, or applied VR/AR/MR systems.

Start by browsing our Research and Resources pages, then get in touch through the Get in touch section.

Student engagement

We are always looking for students who want to get involved in lab activities. Send us your CV through the Get in touch section if you are interested in internships, part-time research assistant roles, volunteering, workshops or project support.

Supported student programmes

BSURE supports structured summer research opportunities for undergraduate students interested in research experience, technical development and project work.
